Multi-Millionaire Fish

Paul Wasicka is now one of the best professional poker players. He finished second in the championship event of the World Series of Poker in 2006. This gave him a total of over $6.1 million after finishing the game. Earning $6.1 million is not too bad for him because he only started playing poker in 2004. People can say that Wasicka was a dark horse in that even in the WSOP. This is due to that he managed to outlast 8,771 poker players and finish the game as a runner up. Because of that event in 2006, Wasicka became one of the best professional poker players.
Wasicka was a college dropout, which made him decide to become a bartender and the restaurant manager of his brother-in-law's restaurant. He was a heated gambler and a video game junkie. If people sum up all of this, they can say that Wasicka has not achieved anything. However, he is a millionaire, which makes people forget that he is a college dropout.
Paul Wasicka started to think of playing cards as a living when he took home a sum over $17,000 by playing blackjack. He started playing blackjack on their skiing trip in Vancouver. After winning $100 from his $10 bet, he did not get to ski but took home a large sum. When Wasicka became interested in playing blackjack, his friend made him participate in an underground poker tournament in Denver. He learned playing poker on their way to the tournament. Wasicka finished the tournament at the 9th place and took home $200. After playing poker in the underground tournament, his friend introduced to him online poker. He became addicted to the game and played for several hours every day. It was even estimated that he plays about five thousand hands per day.

Because Wasicka has not yet decided to go professional, he worked as a bartender and a manager on the restaurant of his brother-in-law. He worked there for about a year and then decided to play as a professional poker player. In September 2004, Wasicka joined the Fall Poker Classic and took home $875. He participated on the same tournament in October 2005 and won $489. In April 2006, his first biggest winnings were $146,460 by finishing at 15th place in the Five Star World Poker Classic. In July 2006, he played at two tournaments of the 37th Annual World Series of Poker. He finished 14th and 12th respectively and won over $64,000.
When Paul Wasicka played at the championship event in the 37th Annual World Series of Poker, he managed to outlive more than 8,700 poker players in this No Limit Hold'em Tournament. He played head to head with Gold in the final table of the event. Even though Wasicka lost to Gold, he still took home $6,102,499 that turned him into an instant multi-millionaire. Because of this, he became well known in the world of professional poker. In 2007, he added fame into his name when he won the NBC National Heads Up Championship and took home $500,000.
